For the second consecutive year, Associated Brands Industries Limited and Sunshine Snacks visited several childrens’ homes on Saturday 4th December 2021 in the East/West corridor bringing excitement, cheer and happiness to scores of children.
Short stops were made at nine (9) children’s homes including Amica House for Girls, Joshua Home for Boys, The Margaret Kistow Children’s Home and St. Dominic’s Children’s Home. In keeping with COVID-19 protocol, Sunshine Snacks packages were delivered to a representative from each organization and then subsequently shared with the kids.
Sunshine Snacks Chief Executive Officer Johnny Ramjeawan said this was the company’s way of spreading joy to our youth and children, “We recognize 2021 has been a difficult year for all our children who continue, in some cases, with online school, social distancing and limited recreational activities, and this is one way we felt could bring some joy and happiness to them.”
Kathryn Inniss, Marketing Manager, Sunshine Snacks echoed the same sentiments saying, “We believe by partaking in this small gesture, it will bring happiness to our most valued treasure – our children. We know with the increase in COVID-19 cases, children will likely have to limit their interactions, and we hope this Sunshine Snacks gift will bring them some form of happiness. We have practiced all safety measures and intend to handover the snacks to a home representative who will surprise the kids with their own Sunshine Snacks Combo pack.”
The Sunshine Snacks team also visited several children’s homes in the Central and South areas on Monday 6th December to bring further cheer and joy to all.
