WAREHOUSE TEAM LEAD

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

  • Manage the receipt and issue of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring that they are in the correct quantities and in good order
  • Ensure timely and accurate records of all materials received and issued are maintained.
  • Ensure adherence to proper Stores Management.
  • Perform periodic product physicals.
  • Control investment in stock levels, stock records, and perpetual inventory system.
  • Responsible for monthly stock checks.
  • Ensure adherence to Company Policies and procedures, inclusive of those regarding GMP and HSE..
  • Prepare reports for submission to the Plant Manager as requested.
  • Perform any other related functions consequential and incidental to the position.


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and coordinate all activities performed by the administrative and warehousing staff of the department.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to all employees in the Finished Goods and Raw Materials Warehouses.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews to determine competency, knowledge, coaching and development needs.
  • Coordinate both training and mentoring of new hires while assessing and monitoring coaching and development initiatives of the existing employees.
  • Manage internal issues to resolve complaints, problems and discipline or reward staff accordingly.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar position.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals and Warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computerized Warehouse Management Systems

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Sound critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work on a shift basis and on weekends
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Organised and detail-oriented

PLANT MAINTENANCE TEAM LEAD

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and coordinate all activities performed by the administrative and technical staff of the department
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to all staff in the Maintenance Department
  • Assist with recruiting, training and mentoring of new technical recruits while upgrading the technical competencies of the existing technicians.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews to determine competency, knowledge, training and development needs.
  • Manage internal issues to resolve complaints, problems and discipline or reward staff accordingly.
  • Monitor technical accuracy of work performed by technicians.


OPERATIONS
  • Establish administrative policies, procedures and standards for improved operations of the department and general facility.
  • Confer with senior management on projects and issues of concern that affect the overall performance of the department.
  • Review, recommend and approve contracts and cost estimates with senior management's approval.
  • Analyze technology and resource needs as required for the improvement of the factory's operations i.e. identifies capital expenditure needs.
  • Responsible for the purchasing and installation of equipment based on detailed analyses of plant needs and budgetary constraints.
  • Manage / monitor the coordination and timely response to breakdowns, diagnosis of faults, and investigation of production problems and repair of equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all equipment to drive operational efficiency.
  • Participate in developing plans and formulating recommendations for the efficient operation of the facility.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports on department performance in keeping with established guidelines; preparing annual budgets; approving expenditure and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS /EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Engineering with specialization in Electrical / Electronic / Industrial disciplines
  • Post-graduate degree in Engineering would be an asset

SKILLS /EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the food manufacturing industry) at a senior level
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and analytical skills
  • Experience with reading electrical blueprints
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance & Management Systems)

HACCP COORDINATOR

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, implement and monitor the Plant's GMP / HACCP Food Safety programme.
  • Conduct internal food safety GMP / HACCP audits, and handle third party customer and regulatory food safety/GMP audits
  • Develop and maintain documentation to comply with record keeping requirements
  • Investigate GMP/HACCP concerns with customers and suppliers, resolve and follow up with corrective measures in collaboration with Management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Food Chemistry, Food Science & Technology or equivalent
  • HACCP certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Good manufacturing Procedures (GMP).

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

  • At least three (3) years' experience in a similar role.
  • Detail orientated, organized and an independent thinker
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to reporting accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) to all levels of employees.
